How to make your first Dollar ONLINE ?
Written by admin on May 15th, 2010
The first Dollar is the hardest.
You don’t need any knowledge. Here I’ll guide you step by step to your first Dollar, from how to host a website, where to host it, how to register a domain, how to build a Wordpress blog on your website, how to add posts, how to put advertisement on your website in order to make money from it. This can all be done in less then a week.
the steps:
1. Create a website
1.1 First Step – Find hosting and register a domain
The first thing you need to do is find a host for your website. There are some host that offer “Unlimited Hosting”. This means you’ll be able to add websites to the same account. This is very important. Here, at linksdofollow.com, we use “BlueHost” which also offers a free domain with the hosting plan (when you use this link).
When you open your account you will be given a free domain name. The domain name is the address of your website (our domain name is “linksdofollow.com”). You have to find yourself an available domain name (you can check if it’s available when you open the account at Bluehost)
So, your first step will be to open an account at “BlueHost”. Using this link will give you a discounted price and a free domain.
BlueHost also have 24/7 chat support, which I love.
(this step should take you less then an hour)
1.2 Step 2 – Installing Wordpress on your new website.
After you are done with step 1, you want to put “WordPress” on your website. Wordpress is a free software that lets you write a blog on your website without the need to understand HTML or any other web programming language. It’s as simple as writing a document in “Word”. You probably guessed, this website (linksdofollow.com) uses Wordpress.
How to install WordPress on BlueHost:
1. Login to your BlueHost account.
2. Go to cPanel (top left tab)
3. Find the “Software/Services” table on the cPanel page.
4. click the “Wordpress” link on this table.
5. Click the “Install” button, and simply follow the instructions.
(this step should take you less then an hour)
1.3 Login to your Wordpress blog and write a new post
Now, go to your new website (put the address on the web browser address box and hit enter), finish the installation, and login using the information you received in your email when you installed Wordpress. Be sure to change the temporary password to something you remember (you’ll see a link that reminds you to do that when you first login to you Wordpress blog).
Note: After you finish the installation, in order to login to your Blog Admin, you go to “http://www.<you-website>.com/wp-admin/
After login, you are on the Admin page of your blog. On the left side, you have a menu. click the “Posts->Add New” link, and you’ll be taken to an editor, to start writing you first post. Write something, and click the “publish” link.
That’s it, you added a new post to your new blog on your new website.
1.4 Your Next Step – write some interesting articles on your subject
In order to apply for “Adsense” which is google advertising network, you need to have some real content on your website. So start writing articles for your website in the same way you did on the previous step. I would say writing about 10 Articles should be enough.
1.5 Changing the way you blog looks like.
In you WordPress Admin page, go to “Appearance-> Themes” and choose a new theme that looks good. Later you can add or remove “widgets” in the “Appearance->Widgets” by dragging and dropping widgets to your sidebar (on the right).
That’s it for now.
Next article will be about adding Adsense to your website.

I agree that the first dollar is the hardest to earn but I just like to comment on the second sentence;
“You don’t need any knowledge”
There is some basic PC & internet knowledge necessary to set up a website. And I think it would also help if you can give an estimate of how much cash that needs to be invested and how long will it take before earning the first dollar.
